TeleCheck Services, Inc. Denied my check in front of the whole store! Houston Texas

I went to a new department store called Labels with my children and I didn't find what I was looking for so I decided to browse around the store since it was my first time there. I found two items that I liked and went to the cashier to purchase them. I wrote my check like any other day but this day was extremely embarassing when she processed my $25.90 check and it was denied! She asked me if I wanted to call the 800# and I gladly said yes to see what was going on (still horribly embarassed)so I called just to get an automated system to punch in all of my personal data and get a list of reasons why I was being denied for example: I was out of their check frequency guidelines! Imagine that! This company is going to tell me how many checks I can write in a week???? ...(This whole time I was thinking that someone stole my identity and exhausted my bank account.) Well the whole scenario was beyond me! I left the store without my purchase and my children were asking my why I didn't get my things off the counter and I had to explain to a 9 and 10 year old that the cash register's electronic boss said not to take my check. Pretty sad so say that I felt the same way a 9 and 10 year did not to understand this whole mess up.
