The Digital Pros All State Camera The Digital Pros Misrepresent Canon Cameras! Brooklyn New York

I ordered a Canon G16 camera from The Digital Pros on-line. It was a good price. Shortly after I was called by a sales representative from this company to say that Canon no longer provide a battery or charger for this camera and I would need to order these separately. I was working in my yard at the time so was not able to check this out, so I agreed to add a charger and battery to the order. When I got to my computer and checked Canon's website I discovered that a battery and charger did come as part of the G16 kit along with a strap.

I tried to call The Digital Pros on their 888 number the same day but could not get a response so I emailed them. 10 days later I have not had a response. I then checked my credit card details on line and found the charge had been increased by almost $190 above the advertized cost of the camera. I tried to find out how this huge extra cost had been incurred but could not get a response on the phone. I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge. The package arrived in the mail by UPS today. On the Canon box it clearly states that a battery and charger are included.

I mailed the package back to The Digital Pros today by UPS at my expense. I ordered the same G16 camera for a bit more through Amazon.com I know a charger and battery will be included and the company has a good track record. I have notified Canon how The Digital Pros are selling their cameras as this is doing their reputation no good.

If only I had checked out independent reports on The Digital pros first before ordering through them I could have avoided a lot of time and trouble. If you review earlier Ripoff reports you will see that almost the same thing has happened to others. Beware of ordering any product through the Digital Pros. It may not just be Canon and the G16 camera they are misrepresenting and charging customers much more for what should be included in the asking price.
