Thumbtack Bad leads, no refunds, price hikes without warning San Francisco California Nationwide

 There's many people that have already reported them, but hopefully this strengthens the case. I have probably wasted hundreds of dollars, or more, on skeptical leads. They allow people to submit for an estimate and either never hire anyone, never respond to anyone, hire outside of thumbtack, or simply just open your quotes and disappear without giving refunds. There's many cases where it appears there appears to be fabricated leads. Either that, or they're simply just scrubbing the net for information and having us bid on absolute garbage. Obviously there's something wrong if this many people have the same issues. There's even pages and sites dedicated to spreading the word about their shady behavior.
