I recently got a ad by email from Tiger Direct advertising a 10" Tablet and a software program for 19.99. You had to fill out a rebate form to get that 19.99 price once you got the tablet.

When I got the package it was a 7" tablet instead of 10". I contacted Tiger Direct and told them of the mistake. They said the ad I got was a mistake and it should have read 7" tablet instead of 10" tablet.

They told me that I should just keep the 7" tablet cause it was alot better tablet than the 10" was. I told them I wanted the 10" just because it had a bigger screen and besides that was what the ad said.

I contacted customer service several times to see if they would work with me and get me a 10" tablet for the same price. They told me "no, but you can return it and once we get it then we will give you a refund in 3 to 5 days".

I am just not happy with this whole thing. Their customer service was very cold about the whole thing and I just think they did not care anything about the customer. I think they should have found me a 10" tablet for the advertised 19.99 price. But they seemed like they didn't really care about it at all.

I begged them to help me with this matter before I got on the internet and started blogs about their poor customer service.

I am a fireman and was looking forward to using this tablet at work. Being a fireman I have alot of contact with different people and I plan on telling as many people as I can about this false advertising and their lack of customer service. Since there is a Tiger Direct in my area I am really sorry I have had this problem.

Most companies have a disclaimer that they are not responsible for description or pricing errors...

Typographical                         Errors

In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price  or with incorrect information due to typographical error   or error in pricing or product information received from our suppliers, TigerDirect.com shall have  the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product   listed at the incorrect price. TigerDirect.com   shall have the right to refuse or cancel any such orders    whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit  card charged. If your credit card has already been charged  for the purchase and your order is canceled, TigerDirect.com  shall immediately issue a credit to your credit card account    in the amount of the charge.

Guess in your zeal to get a "deal" you missed this.  This is a very common disclaimer.

I don't really see a Ripoff...they agreed to refund you...right? You're acting like a spoiled brat...er, fireman.
