Tire Kingdom Bogus repair needed of new Upper Control Arms on F-150 Hialeah Florida

Tire Kingdom customers Beware:

First time visit ever, I went in for a $19.00 special oil Change.  An hour and a half later I was informed that my upper control arms needed replacement for a tidy sum of $792.81!

The mechanic attempted to illustrate excessive play within the ball joint by squeezing the control arm and spindle with a pair of  channel locks, however there was no excessive play.  He also showed me how both seals were broken.  Hmm, how strange, 3000 miles ago I personally changed the oil and inspected all seals which were intact. 

Unbeknownst to Tire Kingdom, the store manager who summoned me to the shop area, and mechanic Renzo Vilchez employee # 32007453, I had replaced the upper control arms within the last 15 months. The original control arms lasted 160,000 miles, the new OEM control arms only had only 10K miles on them.

I thanked them for the information and refused the Extra service.
