Total Visa Another Scam? Hoven South Dakota

I'm just adding another to the long list of complaints against this company. Admittedly I've had some credit issues in the past. As a result I was offered and accepted a credit card offer from Total Visa. It seemed like a good offer and until now, and things have run smoothly. I recieved a typically 'low limit - high interset' card. Fine weth me considering the difficulty in getting a good card' with my history.

I got the Total Visa card in May of 2007, issued with an existing debit balance as it their policy(acceptance fees and Set Up fees on charged). Again, this was expected. I 've made all payments in full and on time. My payments are generated online electronically from my bank account and are sent same day. Again, until this week, never a problem. Suddenly my most recent payment (sent 2 weeks before due date of 11/13) was not credited to my account by 11/6. I called and was told it takes 10 business days for them to get a check via US Mail! This is not true based on 'past payments' as they've always posted in 4-5 days. So I checked again this morning(11/7), and miraculously my payment had posted 'last night', but now I'm told there is a 14 day 'hold' on all checks!!! What the heck?

Since when. Not only are they lying about receiving the payments, they are 'holding' them when they do get them and I'm still being charged interest on the balance(covered by the check they posted last night) until it clears, which will now be 'after' the due date. Therefore I will be charged a 'late fee' also!!!!!!!! I got a Live Person on the line and was told this is their policy and part of the 'agreement'...I argued that until 'now' this had never been the case. I'd never been late, and my checks were posted and credit was again available the next day The checks always came from the same place in the same way...so why 'suddenly' is their 'policy' in force? She had no answer, and so I told her I'd be paying off the card next month, then cancelling the card ...I got no response, except "Ill make a note on your account", Thank you, Goodbye.


RIPOFF....I think YES!
