I signed up for Truecredit.com's 30 day free trial. Everything was good until it came time to cancel. That process took almost 20 minutes. Two days after canceling, I received an email from them alerting me to the fact that a delinquent account had been posted to my credit history. Scared, not knowing what this could be, I purchased my report from them.

Of course, when I pulled up my credit reports, there were NO delinquent accounts. This company uses a host of scam tactics to get your money. DO NOT USE THEM!

To cancel TrueCredit.com...

AUTHOR: Gohan - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, May 05, 2009

Call 800-493-2392. I just cancelled my account. They ask why? Just stick to you guns and tell them, "just cancel my account" "No" "No" "No". They'll try so many times to keep you and offer you other offers. It's ridiculous how pathetic they are. But in the end they will cancel your account.

EASY CANCELLATION

To cancel or so they won't charge you, just type in 0000-0000-0000-0000 as a credit card and make up an expiration date. If it asks you for bank account information as well, enter all zeros.

Cancellation done!

I LOVE truecredit.com!

I have recently posted, but did not know there was a "rebuttal" section. Sorry.

I recently got the 30day free trial, and that's exactly was it was! I was NEVER charged, and called to cancel after 2 weeks. She tried to give another free month for free, but I'd have to call again to cancel before they charged me. Almost did it, but didn't want to have to call again so I cancelled. She immediately cancelled and sent me a cancellation email. VERY nice woman, but was a little hard to understand on my cell phone.

I will be returning to truecredit.com later after my employment status changes, but I think they are 1 of the best ones out there. For 15 bucks, you can't beat their alerts, credit score and unlimited credit reports. I think they were VERY accurate, and if you want to feel at ease with a "name" basically, then go to Equifax and spend 30 a month! I'm stickin to TrueCredit.com!
