Universal Gas & Electric Tried to trick us into a argeement Southfeild Michigan

A man came to our door today, he did not say where he was from or what company he represented. He asked for our gas bill, we didnt give it to him, we asked him where he was from and what this regareded. His first response was, they way he made it sound, he was from our gas company and wanted to see our bill to make sure a certain charge was no longer there, then he tried to convince us by flashing some papers in our face and saying "see your neighbors have already done it". We still did not give him our information, then he tried to convince us he was from the state and that this was a survey for the gas company, again we didnt give him our information. They he exspalined that he was from another gas company but never gave its name, he then told us that a pamphlet of information about the company was sent with our gas bill, we never got one so we asked for one of the large stack of pamphlets that he flashed in our face, he refused to give us one. Then he shoved a contract in our face and began to exsplain about the benefits of signing up witrh his company (that he still did not name) we told him that without information, he than told ok and left, he didnt not drive he walked up our street to the next house. We only know the name of the company because it was on his hat and coat, so we got the customer service number of there local branch in Michigan in Southfield When we called the number we talked to a represntive and complained of the rude nature and the fact that he made false statements, she didnt care, just like the man that came to our door she tried to get us to agree to the 5 year plan he offered, we stated that we called to make a formal complaint, she just laughed and said well alot of our local representitives are unporfessional after that we hung up the phone. It sounded like a scam. Watch out for these guys in your neighborhood.
