Universal Gas & Electric Unscrupulous Recruiting Tactics Southfield Michigan

March 14, 2008 I had a recruiter from Universal Gas & Electric call me saying I had applied to their company directly thru CareerBuilder.com. My resume is on CareerBuilder but I never applied to their company for a position. So, the recruiter for the company was lieing. The recruiter for the company (UG&E) talked fast, wouldn't give his last name, and I asked for an email confirmation and he said his email is down. To come for an interview next Monday, dress sharp, and expect to be there for 2 hours. I got off the phone and looked up their company website and found Ripoffreport.com and other scam websites that detailed their selling to the consumer scams and recruiting scams. I subsequently called the recruiter back at UG&E and told him I am cancelling the interview. He said okay and hung up. Real professional! From what I see here and on other sites they don't pay their employees, use a scripted sales tactic to get consumers to sign up to a contract that has seep penalties for cancelling, and what appears to be reports of other devious practices. BEWARE!
