US Mortgage Funding Took advantage of a family trying tosve house with false promises,,, Boca Raton, Florida

I was contacted by US Mortgage Funding in Dec. 2009.  After several unsuccessful attempts myself to get HSBC to modify my mortgage, I was told by the representative at US Mortgage Funding that they had a team of people - lawyers, etc, who could work with all banks and in fact had done many modifications with HSBC.  And to reassure me I was told that if in fact they could not negotiate a loan modification I would get all my money back.  So I believed him and they took $1800 out of my account in 3 installments.  From January through March 2010 I never was able to get a status on what they were doing - which in fact was nothing which I found out when I called HSBC to talk to their loan modification department.  Basically I was strung along and then in March I finally got a call telling me that HSBC would not do anything else for me (the very same message I got in Dec. 2009) when I tried working with HSBC myself.  So in fact there is no "team of people" working on your behalf- just a worker who collects your documents and calls the bank and can do nothing more than you can do yourself.  This whole process just delayed me futher and put me in a worse position so I am now losing my house.  I was told by Cathy Tenori on May 11 that I would receive my check for the refund on June 11 because they needed a month to "close my file".  So I was patient and hoped for the best, but my worst suspicions were confirmed and I have not received the check and I am getting the run-around with no return calls or emails.  DO NOT do business with this company as they prey on the hopes of good people who are in financial trouble.
