Verizon Wireless Verizon False information through representatives, changed price and package after signed 2-year contract and agreed to update Internet

My two-year contract was up, and I was looking for an upgrade -- which means I needed a new phone and a new plan.

I chatted with online representatives during the entire order process for the upgrade phone to make sure that I clearly understood the prices and what was included. I put the order through for a smart phone -- which required a 2-year package.

I was told that I would sign a two-year contract for the new phone, $40 unlimited text and calls, and a data package that would bring me to a total of $70 per month.

I spoke with a few representatives; two of them walked me through the order and I confirmed several times what I would be getting -- the plan with the phone that I was upgrading and its total monthly price.

I was told that after I put through the order for the phone, then I could speak with a customer service representative to update my plan and it would go through without a problem.

After I put in the order for the phone, I called customer service, as directed to change my package for the upgrade. I was told that pricing was not available for what I wanted and that I was mis-informed.

I was eventually transfered to a representative (and likely a supervisor) who told me that the best she could do was less than half of the data package agreed to for $70. I was angry, but I finally agreed.

I activate the new phone, and surprise, my monthly billing amount is $80 -- ten dollars more (and half of the data package) than I agreed to sign a two-year contract and purchase an upgrade for.

I again called customer service, very angry, and stated that my monthly billing amount is not what was agreed to and that I was being charged $10 over what I agreed to and signed a contract for.

The representative told me that I was again misinformed by yet another representative, and that they would not be able to give me my plan at the price that was offered. She said that it was 'in the system' and there's nothing she could do -- that that is the price that I will have to pay. That is not what I agreed to and was offered in the contract.

Given 'misinformation' by the representatives, the contract price and offer is not upheld, and I am being charged more than I agreed to.

BUYER BEWARE. I want my contract upheld -- it's already been agreed to.
After they get you to buy the upgrade phone, after they get you to sign in to a two-year contract, they inform you that you will not be getting your package and you will not be getting it at the prices that were presented to you. That, with a two-year commitment.

Do not trust Verizon Wireless. And do not trust the information they give you. You're signing a contract, and they don't hold up their end of it.
