I added my grandchildren to my "family" plan for Christmas gifts and since then I have been so abused with such horrific overages that I am stunned. I was advised at that time not to bother with insurance for the kids phones cause it was no big deal to replace and very inexpensive and now that one phone is broken I can not relpace it with a sturdier phone until his contract is over in 2 years.

I have been giving them payments of over $100.00 once or twice a month since February and now they say that I owe them over $700.00 more. Oh god are they for real. I have not recieved a paper bill at all and was told to go online for the information, when I did that, it showed that I owed them 25.48.

Where do they get off trying to steal our hard earned money and where does it go? The people at the counter act like they get a bonus if they rip us off and they could care less. It would appear that it is not their job to resolve "your problem". I tried to cancel all 4 of the family members and was told that it would be 700. plus 175 each. Who helps out with the familys who can barely make ends meet and only want to keep the family members safe.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

As for the $700 billing error, that's what I don't understand. ..Explain more...

I don't completely understand. I need more information to try and suggest something to help you.

I do see that you said that you did NOT take the phone insurance. This is a wireless NO-NO. No matter what the sales guy at the retail store may say, it's ALWAYS cheaper in the long run to get the insurance. Only $50 to replace a phone, rather than $100+ for a new one. It's only $5 per month, and you're allowed 2 replacements in a 12 month period.

As for the $700 billing error, that's what I don't understand. Online, you CAN pull up the last 6 months of bills, at the least.

Are you confusing for your bill with what was told to you about the Early Termination Fees associated with ending service on all the phones? I'm trying to make sure I understand what's going on. Were there overages from calling each other? Those should be refunded. Speak to a supervisor in Customer Service to straighten out the matter.
