I have been a Verizon customer for 20+ years and although I have never been impressed with their customer service, I have stayed with them simply because of the cell phone coverage. I think Verizon has gotten too big and now they figure taking care of customers is not their main objective, taking our money and growing their business is their main objective. So what if they lose a few loyal customers along the way, so what if they misrepresent their warranty, so what if they hire people that are incapable of doing their job. They're VERIZON WIRELESS.
Verizon Wireless owns this corporate store #338127 and refuses to make its employees follow proper procedure in regards to customer treatment and warranty of defective goods, I felt I should also include Verizon Wireless Corporate in my online reviews and complaints.
On 8-26-13 I disconnected three of the four lines I had with Verizon for years and rolled over one of the numbers to a "prepaid" Verizon account. Keep in mind I have been with Verizon for 20+ years and most of that time I was under contract. I never failed to pay my bill and I never asked Verizon for anything that I wasn't entitled to per my contract. Also keep in mind that in those 20+ years I think we only went over our monthly allotted minutes once. Since Verizon likes to steal the minutes you have purchased (they don't roll over to the next month), they have made a small fortune off of us. We average 100-200 minutes per month. You would think we are the kind of customer Verizon would want to keep but I guess we were mistaken. In our dealings with our local store and Verizon Wireless call center, we have found that Verizon truly treats their "prepaid customers" worse than their contract customers (and I didn't think that was possible..Lol).
It's obvious that Verizon wants everyone on a contract so they can manipulate your life and your money by threatening disconnect fees, equipment cost, etc. Verizon doesn't want to offer prepaid (IMO) but they knew a lot of people were coming to their senses and switching to Straight Talk, Virgin Mobile, etc. to avoid being locked into a contract and being charged outrageous fees. All of our children use prepaid plans (not Verizon) because we have told them not to get locked into a contract because that gives the company control of your service for 2+ years. My son and daughter are with Virgin Mobile and couldn't be happier, great coverage, customer service, stores that do give a d**n, unlimited data & text, etc.
Yes, that's the nice thing about prepaid, if the company treats you like you have the plague just because you no longer want to be locked into a contract, you can leave that company and it doesn't cost you a penny.
To say I am disappointed with Verizon Wireless would be a huge understatement! They are the schoolyard bully; they don't care how the actions of their employees hurt their customer base because they are the biggest and if they have to scrape a few of us off the bottom of their shoes...oh well.
My advice to all Verizon customers, dump your contract and go prepaid, when we are the majority instead of the minority maybe we will get treated fairly. Verizon dumps on their contract customers too so you may want to consider a more reputable prepaid company, I wish I had.

Verizon never responded to this complaint & we still feel the same way about Verizon and their staff at our local store. This matter is closed as far as I am concerned and I am requesting removal of this complaint.

What, SPECIFICALLY did Verizon do to you? Either it was trivial or you aren't capable of properly describing it here.
I've had Verizon for MANY years, too and found them to be a reasonable company to deal with and exceptional coverage.
Guess I'll continue to do business with them, because your report certainly doesn't detail any reason(s) not to.

What is the reason they gave for not doing what you wanted? I've been with Verizon for a long time, too and have found them to be one of the better companies. "Keep in mind" I've had the same phone for 8 years. Also "Keep in mind" that I've never had ANY trouble with it, haven't dropped it, nor have I immersed it in water.
"Verizon Wireless owns this corporate store #338127 and refuses to make its employees follow proper procedure in regards to customer treatment and warranty of defective goods, I felt I should also include Verizon Wireless Corporate in my online reviews and complaints."
What "proper procedures", in your estimation should they be following?
How long had you had this "defective" phone they sold you and what is wrong with it?
I'll stay with verizon in spite of your blistering review.
Let us all know on Ripoff Report why and how Verizon is Ripping you off.

So, have you switched providers yet, or are you planning to do so? Oh, right, you're wrongly locked in a contract.
No, I DON'T work for them, just use their service.

Other then your rant at how big Verizon is and the spleen venting over them being a bully...what is the ripoff? ALL prepaid tends to eat any mins you have left. There are a few that do allow rollover but those are rare. Other then your rant at their size, whats the ACTUAL issue.
