Prepaid Scams

AUTHOR: malcome - ()

POSTED: Monday, June 09, 2014

I bought one of their phones at the local phone shop, I was to get there unlimited prepaid plan which was suppose to be $50 a month, but when I got home and activated the phone using it for only about four days the phone quit working... I then discovered by going through the nightmare that is customer service, that the plan was some pay per use plan and had eaten the entire $50 that was placed on the account and if I wanted to restore service I would need to add more money to the account. I explained that I had purcased a $50.00 unlimited card and signed up for that plan, only to be told that she could not see anywhere under my account that the unlimited plan had been activated and that there was nothing that she could do for me. I then asked that since I had just gotten the phone and obviously there was a mistake somewhere along the road to change my plan to the unlimited plan and turn the phone back on as that is what I wanted in the first place. After waiting for 15 minutes for her to return to the phone she told me it would $72.85 plus an additional $20 fee to reactivate the phone. I told her that there was no way I should have to pay that and they should credit me because I had purcased everything for an unlimited account in the first place. She told me that she couldn't see where my account was suppose to be unlimited and that I had only added $50 to a pay per use plan which had already ran out.... long story short I just cut the lost of $65, threw the phone away and went to a different carrier. I will never again trust any verizon prepaid crap phone or plan. just an nightmare and a half dealing with them.
