I bought a load from VIA TRADING and I thought everything was okay but after going throw the load I was missing all the value items. I let it go because I know these can happen but then I went to their auction i seen a lot of the item there.  I had a sale rep walk me around and we went to the back I seen them taking loads apart and keeping the high value items.  I asked him if this was normal and he said no but when I offered him a tip he admitted that they do it to help the company.

They pull the items a side and they post some on eBay and they also save some of the items for their auction to increase their sales. I asked if this was company policy and he admitted the owners approved this and have been doing it for years.  I will never deal with VIA TRADING again and I told my customers and other to save their money before they get cheated. I hope this never happens to you and I hope they get caught doing it. How can we make a living with companies like VIA TRADING taking our money and cheating us at the same time and making extra money by auctioning our stuff.

#1 UPDATE Employee ..inside information

Information is Incorrect

AUTHOR: Sales - ()

We appreciate the opportunity to address this concern. The information this buyer obtained is unfortunately incorrect. The majority of items at our auctions are consigned to us by other vendors and do not come from loads that are in our warehouse. The items that DO come from loads in our warehouse are completely broken down - meaning we do not pull out items from loads to sell them at auction and then sell the rest of the load as it if were still complete. We break down the entire load and put elements of the entire load at auction, and sell any remaining items by the pallet in the warehouse, priced appropriately for the merchandise that is on them.

It is also extremely difficult to know if a particular item from any given load was at our auction. The items are not labeled with stickers saying what load they come from and we work with department stores that sell the same items over and over again. Seeing an item at our auction does not mean it came off of a specific load - it could have been from a different load entirely as is usually the case.

All of our goods are always available for inspection. We are transparent in our dealings and invite all customers to see the merchandise in our warehouse and to select the pallets and lots they want.

In regards to selling on eBay, unfortunately this is incorrect. We do not retail any items on eBay. Please visit our eBay store All items posted are only new overstock case lots of items like cosmetics, fashion accessories and clothing. We do not sell anything by the unit on eBay or in another sales channel (with the exception of certain items at our auctions). We are not interested in entering into competition with our own customers, which is why we use eBay strictly for lead generation but not to perform any retail sales.

By the comments posted, it appears that the buyer did not contact his Account Manager after the sale, but instead chose to come to our warehouse and bribe our team members for erroneous information. Removing items from manifested loads and selling them on with the original manifest is not something we do. We have been in business over 11 years, 90% of our sales are generated from repeat business and we could not have achieved the growth we had if we were in the business of deceiving people.

In this case we would have liked the opportunity to make it up to the customer. We are very transparent about the fact that the liquidation business is not a straightforward industry and that occasionally there WILL be discrepancies with manifests (even big ones at times), but in the event of a legitimate discrepancy, we can and DO make it up to our customers. Many loads are pre-packed and manifested at other facilities and we are not aware of discrepancies until we hear about them from our customers. We are not out to make a quick sale and are primarily interested in building long term relationships of trust with our customers. We might offer credit for the items that were missing from the manifest or otherwise work out a satisfactory solution. In either case, we do need our customers' cooperation. People need to call in and express their dissatisfaction, contact their Account Manager, write our Chief Operations Officer with a complaint or otherwise give us the opportunity to resolve it.

We wholeheartedly encourage you to contact us to discuss the issue with your order and we can take it from there.
