I requested Ebay CD's to preview from Video Professor which I received. I was told I had 10 days to decide to keep the program. They figure 10 regular days (not business days) from the time I received them. The 10th day counting the day I received in the mail was a Sunday. I called first thing in the morning Monday to say I was returning the CDs. I was told I was already charged $189.00 (I hadn't known what the price was-I don't think it was on the literature). (In fact the charge did not appear until the following day.) I was upset and asked them to credit that back. The CS rep said they couldn't because it was the 11th day. I asked for a supervisor, and I was told they would credit back but not for 20 business days (a month!) from the time they received the CD's back (another 5 days!). I returned CDs & had a confirmation delivery receipt for April 9th. I called again to be told refund would be 21 days from April 10th. I said it should be counted from April 9th. She continued to say it would be counted from the 10th.
After two more calls to Customer Service (with delays on the phone with annoying music and quickly repeating statements about how valuable I am and how they want to talk to me--obviously designed to make a person hang up) I said it was now May 12th and past 21 days and I still have not had a refund. CS had no answer except that now they will process it through for another 7-10 business days! That's a month and a half of holding almost $200 of my money. Obviously they are in the banking business and have not arrived into the digital age when refunds are given immediately.
What a rip-off and a terrible thing to do to people in difficult economic times.
