I purchased a 27 in N2750W TV monitor for 998.10 on 2/8/06 and was to get a 50.00 rebate. Knowing how these rebates work I read all the fine print crossed every t and dotted every i and made sure I had my rebate form and all information in the mail by cut off tiem. I mailed on 2/23/06. In March I recieved a very vague letter. The letter stated something was missing naming several different things that could havd been missing but was not spacific.

Upon recieving this letter I went to my "Rebate file" and found I had sent everything. Since I had copied everything I had sent. I thought maybe they wanted a copy of my original reciept along with my rebate reciept (the type Frys gives with all information that is on store reciept excluding my other purchases). To be safe I sent all my copies, UPC rebate form etc.,along with copy of original reciept.

I sent back to them 3/30/03 (before date response time cut off (4/7/06). In April I recieved another vegue letter. This time I called and was told they only had a copy of my UPC and I would now have to pull out this heavy TV and try to take a picture of the serical # number on the back.

Now here we are on June 8th. I just called and they said they recieved my "picture" on May 4th and now I can wait another 6-8wks to recieve my rebate. If I ever get it, it will have taken, lets see if I wait "another" 6-8 it will be toward the end of July!!

That is 5 month for my 50.00 rebate! It is all such a crock to get you to buy their product in the hopes that you will tire and give up on the 50.00 and they will have actually sold a product at the original price instead of the so called "SALE/REBATE" price.

I am writing because this is not the first incident we have had with Viewsonic and thier so called reabates! My husband and I have an audio visual company and have had several incidences with them! There always seems to be some excuse as to why we have not recieved our rebates in a timely manner and further hoops we have to jump through. Not that it would matter to them but we have informed them in my last letter to them we will no longer buy any viewsonic products for personal or business use again.

This rebate bussiness seems to be such a scam. We have decided we will no longer purchase anything with a rebate anymore. Most of them don't even give you enough time to turn in all the information. Just the other day my husband bought something. Before he could even evaluate the product in the few days he had it we looked at the rebate we saw it had expired about the day we bought the product.
