VIEWSONIC Rebate Promise is a 100% FRUAD White Bear Lake Minnesota

I purchased a 19" ViewSonic Monitor from Buy.com based on a $50 rebate offer. I received the monitor and within the required 30 days mailed the completed Rebate Form that was included in the shipping carton, complete with the UPC bar code and the serial number bar code from the ViewSonic shipping carton. I photocopied every document before mailing.

On March 30th, I received a form letter stating that I had submitted an invalid bar code/UPC. I called the 800 number provided and was told to fax copies of my documentation with my Claim Number he provided. I faxed all copies to him with the claim number noted as requested.

Two months later I wrote a letter to the individual (or his Supervisor) detailing all of the above. I have heard from no one nor have I ever seen a penny of this phantom rebate.

Buy.com says that none of this is their responsibility...but I think that they are assisting with the rip-offs by allowing false advertising on their website.
