These guys are full on friggen thieves! I purchased my wife and I 2 tickets to American Idol at the Greak Theater in L.A. The total cost of the 2 tickets was $179.00.
Approximately 1 week later, when it was obviously TOO late to cancel the transaction, the 2 tickets came in the mail. The original cost of each ticket was $4.75. YES, four dollars and seventy five cents; for a total cost of 2 tickets being $9.50!!! Yet these F**** sold them, as they are obviously corrupt as hell, scalping the hell out of tickets; ALL unbeknown to the purchaser. In my case 18 TIMES the face value of the ticket.
Upon lodging a complaint with the Chicago BBB, Vivid Seats lied their arse off, and the BBB said because it involved "purchase practices," they had NO purview over the complaint.
PLEASE trust me, these people who somehow live with themselves RIPPING OFF other good unsuspecting people, will indeed take you to the financial cleaners. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM... YOU WILL SURELY REGRET IT!!!

The original cost of each ticket was $4.75.
- I am really not sure where you saw this $4.75 "Original Cost", as the lowest cost tickets they sold for that show was $36 BEFORE the additional fees. The $4.75 sounds more like a facilities charge and not the actual cost of the ticket.
But guess what...even on the off chance they were $4.75 they can sell the ticket for anything they want. If they put it up for sale for $10,000/each and someone wanted it there is nothing that says they can't. Or let's turn this around. Say that the tickets were $50/each and they were selling them for $4.75, would you then in turn when you got the face value of the tickets say.."You know what..here is the extra $45.25 to make up for the face value". No I can guarantee you that you would not.
It is up to the BUYER(aka YOU) to decide if the price they are asking is one you are willing to pay. Oh and in your case that was a big 10-4 good buddy.
Do you really think that they are the only company in the world that marks up items. If so then where is your RipOff report on your local Movie Theater that sells $5-$6 soda's when you can go down the street to your local grocery store and pick up one for a fraction of that price? Or better yet your local sports venue that sells $12 beers? I could go on and on..but I don't think you can provide a business that doesn't mark up their items. Oh and before your arm falls off becuse you are waving it around so much saying "oh..oh..oh..but". Yes, you are going to come back saying "But those stores don't charge 18 times what it costs them". Okay...how do you know? Because do you know that $5 soda at the movie theater..it costs them approximatly $0.25.
How about scanning a copy of the ticket? Or let me guess you no longer have the ticket.
