VOIP.COM trying to rip me off for a bad router Bocca Raton Florida

Months ago I was forced to buy a replacement router for my voip.com phone service, as the one they had sent me had died. At no time did they say I had to send the old old dead router back, or I surely would have.

Now, months later, they are saying I owe them $65.00 for their router. I told them it was thrown out when I had to replace it, but they continue to demand the same router. I offered to mail them a working router I had sitting around, and they said it was not going to be accepted.

Why do they need the old router? Why did they not tell me the old one needed to be returned when I called them in the first place to ask for a new router?

Routers do not last forever, and I've had a new one sent out when one died while I was with Sun Rocket. THEY sent me a replacement when that one failed, but VOIP.COM would not send me a replacement. I paid 80 bucks for a router so I could maintain my phone service. There is NO WAY I am going to pay for my sevice, pay for a replacement router then ship it off to them when I no longer use their service.
