I signed up for this service in November of 2007. I was charged $45.00 for equipment which did arrive in a timely manner.
The day service was connected, I tried it and it did not work. I could not get any calls to connect. I tried for 3 days (over Thanksgiving weekend).
The following business day, I canceled and was charged $41.99 for a cancellation fee. I challenged the fee and was told that because my number was ported, the 30 day money back guarantee does not apply. Since the service never worked for me, there is no way to know if my number was ported, so I disputed all charges with my credit card company.
I am currently looking at taking action against this so called 'company' with a class action lawsuit. If anyone has already started this, please let me know.
If you look at the address of the company on Google Earth, it is in a residential neighborhood, which helps confirm my suspicion that voip.com is probably a couple teenagers working out of their parents garage.

If enough people respond, then a class action suit can certainly be initiated.
I was stiffed by these lot as well.
