I installed WalMart connect in July on a 30 day free trial. The next day I completely uninstalled all of the software and discontinued the service or so I thought . Upon receiving my bank statement I discovered Ihad been billed for service.

After an hour on the internet I finally found a phone number and called only to find out I can't cancel on the phone but I could Fax a cancellation letter to their office . Now I am caught in an endless circle because the fax will not answer and the people on the phone cant find any record of my account yet WalMart Connect somewhere has enough information to bill me .

AOL OWNS WALMART CONNECT....AOL FORMER EMPLOYEE

AUTHOR: Cynthia - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, December 03, 2005

If you look at the complaints against AOL you will find the same trouble that is because AOL OWNS Walmart Connect along with a few other low cost isps. I found this out when I signed up for Walmart Connect after canceling with AOL and saw alot of the same features. Right now I only have Walmart as a back-up service incase my high speed goes down plus I didnt have to change my email address but as a former employee of AOL I can tell you that it is a common practice to not cancel a customers service when they want it to be. I was written up because my rate of cancellations was higher than those I was able to convince to stay with the company. I quit after 3 month due to the stress and it was taking a toll on my husband and kids...almost cost me my marriage. I saw reps tell someone they were cancelled but yet they had 100% rate of non cancellations. Both companies dont care about anything but the bottom line.

Keep a eye on your bank account and call them to cancel everytime. Also look into the FTC or call your government to see if there is anything they can do to help you stop them. Also tell your bank not to allow them to withdraw the funds. They can put a stop payment on them. Also ask them if they can help you in getting your money back that was stolen from you.

Good luck
