Warrantech, WARRANTECH BUYERS BEWARE OF A RIPOFF Bedfrord Texas

My wife and I bought the dishwasher at the local store in Sarasota Florida called De Sears. The cost of the dishwasher was $990. The sales person suggested an extended warranty for the dishwasher in the amount of $150. After having a malfunction in the dishwasher we called the store. They send a repair man. The repairman told us that he can not fix it and the dishwasher will have to be replaced. We remember the extended warranty and reach for a piece of paper. We called the company and reported the claim.

Repairmen send his report. It looked like we will get a new dishwasher in matter of few days. After one week we called the company again and we were told that they are"working on it". Another week went buy and we did not get any call from anybody. Third wee without dishwasher and three kids at home was getting more and more difficult. We called again and every time we where told same story "we are working on it".

After one month my wife start calling every day. At one point they told us "stop calling us" We where asking a reasonable questions like "what exactly you are working on? When we asked to talk to the supervisor they either put as on hold for 20 min or just simply told us that there are no supervisors here. The week six and still no dishwasher.

Finally we where able to find a friendly person at our local De Sears store who promise to help. Seven weeks later Warrantech issued store credit for a dishwasher in the amount of $770( we paid $990 for ours). We had to pay a difference of $248 to the store to get similar model.

We paid $248 plus $150 for warranty. That is almost $400 and we waited for seven weeks. The Warantech is a ripoff company Stay away from them.
