Warrior Custom Golf Deceptive Sales Practices Irvine California

They mailed me an offer for custom made golf clubs. I called and they told me the set was $249 and if at any time I could return the clubs for a full refund.

However, in order to protect themselves, they will charge $399 to my credit card (the difference being a "security deposit"), and after a period of time (45-90 days), I would receive the difference back. I received the clubs and was pleased with the quality. Just on a feeling, I went on the internet and checked out the Irvine, California BBB and found that Warrior Custom Golf has a track record of not refunding their customers what they stated they would refund.

I checked on their return policy and I was still within the timeframe stated to get a full refund. Their return policy states that I would have to get a "return or invoice" # so that they can track the return shipment. When I call to do this the representative puts a "manager" on the phone and he asks me if I would consider keeping the clubs if they send a complimentary set of irons. I say that's fine, but I still want the difference refunded and he stated that would be done.

He stated that Warrior Custom Golf's main marketing scheme at the time was to get their name out in the market as a competitive golf club. The end result was I never got the $150 difference returned on my card. I filed a complaint with the CA BBB with no resolution. Thank you for the time and opportunity to voice my displeasure and to hopefully prevent someone else from falling prey to these deceptive people.
