I received a mailing to try a set of golf clubs for free, all I had to do was to call this phone number and answer some questions.
I responded and then learned they would send me these wonderful clubs for several hundred dollars. I am a beginner golfer so several hundred dollars for a set of clubs did not interest me.
I did agree to have them send me a new "custom built" driver. I was told that they would have to have my credit card number incase I did not fill out the form they enclosed as to my thoughts on the company and how I liked the club. If I did not return the results to them by the end of the 3 month trial period then the cost of the driver would be placed on the credit card.
Well I received the club, proud and all, was warming up for a scramble at the driving range, now this is the third time I used the club. I hit about 6 balls, I swung at another one on the rubber T, the head of the club goes further then the ball went. Now I still have the shaft and the handle in my hands and can't believe what just happened.
I called the company about it and the said the only thing they could do is send me another one. I said I did not want another junk club just to credit my credit card. Well I have yet to recieve credit on my credit card. All of this happened the summer of 2001.
I have since not dealt with Golf Magazine either as that is where this company contacted me through.
Thank you.

All we ask is that our customers give the club/s a fair evaluation and generally they receive something free for their time

Our test play period is 45 days from the date of receipt. All we ask is that our customers give the club/s a fair evaluation and generally they receive something free for their time. We do charge the credit card a wholesale cost for the time our product is in there hands and they have the right not to participate. In our industry there will always be room for error. We know that defective products will exist regardless of how much care goes into the production and quality control. It seems to me that had this customer been a little more open minded he would have probably not only received a replacement and the freedom to start his test play again but most likely based on our normal business practices, he would have gotten a discount or free club in the end should he had decided to keep his replacement. Warrior has several hundreds of thousands of customers and would much rather bend over backwards to restore a situation that is non optimum for a customer than to beat him out of a couple hundred bucks. One happy guy may only tell a freind, but 1 unhappy guy will tell...Well you see. Maybe this individual never gave Warrior a chance to help. p.s Golf magazine does not supply us with names.

I like My Warrior Woods

I responded to the Warrior ads like the others that have written here. I got the woods, liked them, but couldn't afford them. When I called to send them back, tey negotiated a deal with me that I couldn't refuse that included them sending me additional clubs, as well as a substantial refund. The refund was posted to my credit card the next day, and the additional clubs came the next week. I hit the woods well and am learning to hit the irons well.
I've always been a bad golfer, and these clubs are helping my game. The only club damage I have experienced was my own fault, when one of the graphite shafts broke as I took it out of the bag, and I'm thinking it was cracked by the angle I had it shoved in the trunk of my car. Even though it was possibly my fault, Warrior is repairing it for free. Maybe they aren't Pings, but they are better than the other two kinds of clubs i've had. Heck, I even know gold buddies that have had breakage occur with their major name clubs. Go easy ....
