Beware! If you receive a Washington Mutual Bank "WAMU" 0% credit card offer, DO NOT FALL FOR IT, and apply for a credit card. The offer we got was for 0% until April 1, 2009 (we submitted our application on September 23, 2007). When we received our first statement, the Annual Percentage Rate "APR" for the Promo Offer was 12.99%. This offer was an absolute LIE.
This is a very deceptive "bait and switch" trick that we fell for. The number we called to see if it was an honest mistake connected us to someone in India. They said we were not in their records for the promotion offering the 0%. If WAMU wants to challenge me on this offer, I have the Pre-Approved Promo letter to prove it.
DO not do business with a company that will outright deceive you!

I got the same promo offer, but it was not pre-approved. It stated I am invited to apply. That is not the same thing.

File a complaint and provide a copy of the letter you received.
The more complaints they get, the more they can do about stopping these fraudulent practices.
Also offer to provide a copy of your credit report. I did, but they did not take me up on the offer.

Your rebuttal said the rate I received was the best rate based on my credit rating.
My FICO score is 780+. When I applied for the 0% credit card, they confirmed that I was approved for a 0% rate credit card. When I called them after finding out the rate was 12.99%, the person in India said I was not in their system as being approved for the 0% credit card, even though the statement said the credit card rate was a "Promo Rate".
What FICO score do you have to have to get their 0% credit card? When applying for the card, they confirmed that I have been approved for their 0% credit card, and that your rate will be 0%, what does "0%" and "approved" mean? After being issued the "Promo" credit card (it says so on the statement), why was I told I was not in their computer system as having a "Promo" credit card.
I am outraged at Washington Mutual's "WAMU" practices and will NEVER have any dealings with them again.

The O percent interest rate is depending on your credit rating. If they see that your credit score is low then they will not give you a o percent rate. The rate they gave you is probably the best that they could do. Those offers are form letters sent out to everyone.
