I have had the same issue with Wells Fargo. In January of 2009, my husband told that he was going to be laid off for a few weeks - and until then, we had never been late on one payment. We called WF and asked if there was anything they could do to help get us thru those couple of months, and we were told that based on our situation, we would qualify for a 3-6 month modification. We faxed all the info THAT day, and then the nightmare began. What was supossed to be a 2-3 week process turned into 13 months. In the beginning, we actually begged to make a payment, but were told not to because our file was "under review". We called almost every day, and sometimes 2-3 times a day, and we would get a different answer from every "representative" that answered the phone. To my complete shock and horror we were served papers by a Sheriff - that our house was going into foreclosure. Mind you, when we got the notice saying that our house was going into foreclosure, I called that instant, and was told to disregard that, since we were working so closely with them. That is why when a Sheriff's car was in our driveway I did not understand what was going on. In July, we were put on a forebearance plan - 3 months of regular payments ($1, 200) and then we were asked to make a $15, 000 payment!!! Really? They knew our monthly income, especially since I had faxed them our paystubs 8 times by then - how in the world could anyone afford a payment like that?? Of course, the representative that I talked to said that they knew people could not normally make that final payment, but if we made the 3 months of regular payments that it would look good for us and that it would lead to a permanent modification. That "reiview" would really only take a couple of weeks since our file was in the "final stages". So now, 5 months later, and WF still hasn't come up with any solution. HOW IS IT THAT A HOMEOWNER IS BEGGING TO MAKE THEIR PAYMENTS AND WELLS FARGO IS GETTING AWAY WITH THIS!!! OUR CREDIT IS RUINED, I HAVE HAD A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN, AND ALL WE DID WAS EXACTLY WHAT WELLS FARGO TOLD US TO DO!!!
WELLS FARGO NEEDS TO BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS UNETHICAL AND CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR!!
Please someone tell me what we can do to try and make them responsible for these horrible situations they are putting homeowners through!!
We are a family with 5 children, my husband is extremely hard working and we pay our bills, pay taxes, and made one phone call to see if we could be helped by wells fargo - and they have literally put us through hell!!

In the same boat

AUTHOR: mike - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, May 13, 2010

I tried to 2 years to make things right with Wells Fargo, I am in the Toledo Ohio area and have lost my home as of Jan  of this year. The amount of "Contribution fees" that no one will tell you what they are for is beyond anything I can put in print. I just received a letter from wells fargo explaining how and why I was kicked out of my home. They did give me 1500 for moving expenses and thought they did a good thing. My credit is ruined, I am just trying to put back the pieces. Any type of class action would be a good thing. I am under the impression something is brewing with WF. If it happens the whole mortgage business will be turned upside down. Keep checking with google and good luck. I lost my home but I hope others don't

Same thing here!!

I have gone through pretty much the exact same thing with WF. It is so deceitful of them to give that hope to a family and then snatch it all away from them, including the house at the end. I am at my wits end with them, they have stressed me out so bad I have been physically sick with it, and I don't think there is a way I can get caught up because of what they have done either. SOmethings got to give here, I sure hope that a class action, or something comes up.

I tried filing my report on here, but my stupid internet messed up and it would not send through. I am going to try again though to put my story on here. It is just crazy to jump through all their hoops and at the end, they destroy you. Anyhow if there is a way we can all keep in touch, if one of us finds out something that can be done. I will post if I find anything helpful orhear ofsomething. My thoughts and prayers are with every single one who has been a victim of this.

Time to FIGHT BACK

I know exactly what you are going thru, see my posting on 3/4/10.

Report them to the Better Business Bureau, submit everything in writing of what they are doing to you. Submit any documentation you have along with the notice you received from the sheriff. Submit all of this to the Attorney General of your state, and to the Comptroller of Currency (OCC)

There are so many of us out there going thru the same d**n thing and it is time that we stick up for our rights! I feel more people have to start reporting them and to fight against their unethical procedures.

I am fighting them with everything I can find showing how they are taking money from me and as I stated I am on a FIXED INCOME and my life has been a living hell because of them. I get so stressed and sick, that sometimes I cant eat or sleep.

I cannot afford legal representation on this one so I am looking for any class action lawsuits out there. But right now all I can do is keep submitting my information with proven documentation and respond to their outrageous rebuttals. The last one stating that they feel this case is resolved and trust me it is not. Not when I submitted that they brought motions against me when I actually was paid up to date and they illegally held my account in a suspense mode causing these problems.

Take the time and trust me I have spent hours, days, weeks and months going thru all my paperwork. Forward your information. File a report and fight back.

Good Luck and I hope this will help you. All we can do as homeowners is to fight back against these companies and take back our lives and our homes.
