Williamsburg Townhomes Property manager:Walter Scamming application fees Garland Texas

 September 2017. My 2 daughters and I went to the property met with Walter. He showed us one opened unit and said he had two available. The add in the paper said no deposit, no credit check, second chance apartments. We filled out what looked like a information sheet which he called an application. Gave him 2 money orders for $80 each. He asked us 3 questions. How soon will we need to move. Do we smoke, and do we have any pets. Then I asked when will we know something? He said someone from the company will call us that day. I asked what they was looking for and he said they will verify the information we put on the app.

The next night we got a voice message that our background check shows criminal activity in the past. And we were not approved. We laughed because we both have worked in jobs that would not have hired us with a criminal background of any kind. He never called my other daughter about her application. While we were there two other women also gave him money orders for $80. I tried to talk to a Tennant outside but she was unwilling to say anything except it's ok . Afterwards my daughter's and I left with the same feeling that we were just taken for $160.00. This man must be stopped.
