Wirefly, InPhonic, AT&T Formerly Cingular Beware of Wirefly Ripoff, they are not honoring rebates, going bankrupt Reston Virginia

Warning, Wirefly is really another company called InPhonic which is Bankrupt!! Wirefly is NOT an independent company. I bought phones from Wirefly, with activation from Cingular, and was to receive rebates of $230.

As it turns out, Wirefly is actually an AKA or subsiduary name of InPhonic, a company that has filed for bankruptcy. I have tried to return the phones and get my money back, seeing as I will not be receiving rebates, but they have refused. They have also declined to provide me with a proper legal street address of business for service, only a Post Box. The only people you can talk to are in India.

I spoke with Mr. Santosh employee #3506, allegedly a supervisor, the results of the conversation were that I was S... Outta Luck, no rebate will be forthcoming as the company is bankrupt. This is a clever business model: lure customers with incentives and rebates, then refuse to honor the rebates by saying it was provided by another company which they then let go bankrupt, even though they are in fact a subsidiary of that company, and then keep operating as if they had nothing to do with it.

I would strongly recommend that people avoid doing business with Wirefly as they are not reputable, do not keep their promises or live up to their obligations, are in fact a different bankrupt company (InPhonic) still operating (hiding) behind the Wirefly Alias (amongst others).
