Help - I ordered my Norman Woodlore Shutters from Deccolux in June 2007 when I moved into my brand new house. I live in Orange County and my rep is from the O.C. too. I have not received my shutters, and it has been 10 weeks. Looking at all the responses from R.O.R., I only see people from the Inland Empire who got shafted. Anyone out there from Orange County? Wondering if the reps in the I.E. suck, or does my guy suck too, just no one in the O.C. reported it. He at least returns my messages, but I am a little nervous because I am ready to file small claims if I have to. I heard that the company closed it's doors. So much for a warranty. Anyone thought of a class-action? Please contact me if you can answer any of my questions? Should have gone with Danmer!!!!! Oh P.S., if you happen to buy a new home in the future - new rule...BUY the window treatments from the design company. You might pay more, but at least you won't be S.O.L., like me, and they would have been installed upon the walkthrough, and under warranty from the builder. Live and learn - the hard way.

My O.C. rep came through. He did an awesome job. He left deccolux and went out on his own venture, and carried his o.c. customers with him. I am so grateful. I wish you all the best in trying to get what you deserve.

There was this local shutter guy who took deposits from dozens of people, then he closed his office and went out of business and the re-opened another office under a new name. I guess you need to do business with an established national company and maybe put it on a charge card. Maybe you'll have some protection unless it's outside a time period, of course you won't get that big discount the independants give but at least you'll get your shutters. Good advice there.
