I bought a handbag from nordstrom.com . The handbag is a dooney&bourke handbag which i paid over 360.00 full price for in there store. I called today to let them know i got the shipment ,and that i was not happy with the price tags being cut off the handbag . I told them i have never bought anything full price with the price tag cut off the handbag like that , and especially from dooney&bourke store . I talk to a young lady name Ashley she told me that work at ext 1535 .I ask her what happen to the tag , and why was the tag cut off like i purchase it from some kind of outlet store which i did not at all. I ask her could they send me out the tags that goes with my handbag she said no i am not going to send you out a tag if you plan on selling it . I told her i can sell what ever the hell i want when i paid full price from your store for the handbag. But seeing that the tags are cut off i could not prove to anyone that the handbag cost the amount i posted on this report. I told her your store is doing some kind of fraud , and i want my tags that go with my handbag she said that the purse is damager or some kind of crap like that. I told her the purse is in tact all i needed was what i paid for on the purse which are tags that go with my handbag the tag was cut and price is missing off the dooney , and bourke handbag like someone purchase it from the outlet , and then place them in there store in cedar rapids. So anyways she blame it on the dooney.com store which i called and talk to a lady name laurie she said we dont send nordstrom any cut tags at all on the items we sell. So they ask me to send the item back now this is crazy i dont have time to go to post office to mail box off at all. Then they wanted me to purchase another one with them , and charge my credit card again i think there full of crap there customer service is a big joke to me . I am not going to send a item back for my price tags i requested for my tmoro leopard print drawstring handbag like that want me to do i dont have time i am very angry the store very angry they sent my item with cut tags ,and now if i wanted to sell my own paid for item by law i cant anyway without the price tag being on the dooney red tag that hangs from handbag !
Anyway i wanted to warn all woman who might just buy this handbag from this store watch out they be cutting tags off , and sending you a handbag that looks like they been down to the discount factory to purchase and placed in there store up in cedar rapids IA what a job done on me . No one cares at all just charge me again and send back only answer on this matter nordstrom.com cedar rapids IA or crooks beware when buying check your price tags i always do because sometime i have to drive over 2 hours just to take shoes back i order online but never this crap a handbag with price cut not to happy on this shipment .
Thanks ripoffreport.com for helping folks out there know what kind of world we live in today !

Why do you care so much about a pricetag?

Why would you want or expect a price tag to be on it? I've ordered tons of things from online retailers and not one of them had a store price tag on it.
I'm sensing more to your intentions than you're letting on....

Ouch!

It sounds like you had a tough time! I'm sorry! I shop at nordstrom all the time and I have a few friends who work there. I just thought some of these words of wisdom might be useful for future reference.
Do keep in mind that even though they are a huge business, they are still owned by the same family that started them and the owners are VERY involved with the company(they don't sit in an office, I met one of the owners while shoe shopping and apparently they visit every store at least once a year.) Nordstrom takes compaints VERY seriously. I hear that Blake Nordstrom is VERY contactable, and I'm quite sure that if you wrote a letter to him, he'd probably try to work this out. Nordstrom pays their employees very well, but is CONSTANTLY out to get them! If they get a couple NASTY complaints, they're fired!
Did you have a salesperson order the bag for you, or did you order it over your personal computer? This possibly sounds like the item came from a store that had the item listed at a different price(sometimes higher or lower) for competitive reasons. When this happens, they usually cut the price tag off, but leave the barcode and brand tags on the item.
In my experience, when ordering from Nordstrom.com, everything comes in a plastic bag with the bar codes on it to protect the item and then there are brand tags on the item itself but no price tags. That might be why there were no price tags.
You should also be able to return ANYTHING you bought online to the store. Nordstrom also doesn't have a return policy. Technically, you can return anything at anytime as long as you have proof of purchase or the tags it came with.
Whatever the reason for this ridiculousness you went through, the bottom line is that it would have taken 30 seconds for Ashley to print you out a price tag for your bag. Just the fact that she said your bag was damaged or something was wrong with it is grounds for you to file a complaint. I strongly encourage you to complain to the store even if this was a year later. I'm quite sure some change will be made at the store you had these issues in!
