avis because i can policy

My opinion-well let's see. I'll start with my experience first and then go to my opinion. I rented the car for 6 days. After agreeing to a few options the total was $754.95. I paid you up front $552.82. Balance due on return. Started my trip and arrived at my destination. Then 4 days later a problem unexpectantly happened that I knew I wouldn't be able to return the car on time. I called the Melbourne-Palm Bay Avis. The person answered saying they are closed at 3:45 pm. He couldn't help me. He told me to take it to the Melbourne, FL airport.

He didn't give me the chance to say that I didn't need it any longer and all I wanted to do was to pay for my 6 days and get it back where it can be safe, rather than parked in an unsecured area. Anyway off to the airport I go. Parked it in the Avis lot. Went inside and gave the person behind the counter the key and received a receipt showing that $1064.05 was charged and paid from my credit card. So that's a total of $1064.05 plus $552.82 that equals $1616. 87 from my credit card.

Maybe I missed something here because that's $404.22 per day for the 4 days I had the car. Now a little about the car. I asked and reserved a Mazda CX-5 and was told it was reserved. When I went to pickup the car at the Moline, IL Quad Cities Airport the man behind the counter laughs and says the car hasn't been cleaned yet and oh it's a Kia. I had to take it, doesn't matter that it wasn't what I was told I'd get. It took 6 tanks of fuel to get from Moline, IL to Melbourne, FL. I bruised my head getting in and out of this car.

So you run business this way. Why? Because you can. You don't have to. Now for my feedback or opinion? Not for you because I know you could care less. But for anyone who may be looking to rent a car from you. To let them know what you will do to them and they will say why? Because you can.
