Called Expedia around 1200 noon on 17April 2019 and made reservation for 1 night at their advertised price for that day which was $57.00 for a total of $62.89. Later called motel and found out they had no reservation for me.  Called Expedia again and put on hold for more than 20 minutes and was told it takes time for their info to get to motel.

Waited several hours, called motel again and still no reservation listed for me.  My account opened with Expedia showed the confirmation number and itinerary number, but when I entered this info into my newly open account, nothing would go through, including my phone number!  Everything they gave me was false or fake!

I checked into the motel as a walk in.  Paid for my room and called Expedia again, but with the number provided by the front desk in order to cancel my account.  I was put on hold by Cindy, Expedia customer service agent, for more than 20 minutes.  I finally hung up, went to the front desk and was informed that Cindy had me on hold while attempting to get the motel to charge my credit card for a reservation that never existed!

While at the front desk, Expedia finally sent confirmation for my reservation which should have been done upon my initial contact with them around 1200 noon 17 April 2019! Expedia sent me false confirmation and then attempted to ask the motel to charge my credit card for services they did not provide after I had already checked in and paid for room!! They were asking the motel to comit fraud while they had me on hold!

Expedia did nothing to confirm my reservation for several hours! Motel 6 refused to comit fraud, or scam me on behalf of Expedia, because I had already paid for my room at that point! After sending email to cancel my account with Expedia, I can no longer access my Expedia account  but I have proof and records they can not erase!

FYI I did my reservations on line and I have "proof" to back up everything stated! No need to search for phone numbers for Expedia, because it was clearly listed under their discounted rates, along with other hotels entities such as Trivago.

I chose Expedia because it just happened to be the first of all the ones listed with the same prices! Several hours means "being of a number more than 2" and it was definitely more than 2 hours! I will not give you, (supposingly) this ordinary citizen, specific details about my check in time, nor any other information.

So Robert, think what you will, say what you will, believe what you will, but I am through with this conversation!

I don't owe you an explanation as to what. when, and where!! Just who do you think you are? Consumer Affairs has 4400 complaints against Expedia. Ripoff have 516 complaints, as of this date. I didn't bother to check other review outlets.

But, no matter what, we were not all sitting around trying to figure out how to screw Expedia! You want to cherry pick? In April 2019 Expedia had only 1 (one) positive 5 star rating.(April 10, 2019) per Consumer Affairs. However, they had at lease 24 negative (one star)reviews in just the same month of April 2019! 2 star rating (1), 3 star rating (1), 4 star rating (0). Since I am cherry picking this, I maybe wrong and my numbers/dates could be off.

I am not saying you may not have a valid complaint, but we are only getting one side of the story. It is this "over the top" description you give to try and prove that they are somehow intentionally doing something fraudlent is quite funny.

So based on the narrative you posted. You had never used Expedia, but were somehow able to search for their advertised rates. Then instead of booking it online you were able to find their number to call and do the booking through them.

You were very specific as to the time you originally called, but then you go generic and use terms like "several hours"..several times. If we take that your first call to them "later" was to inquire about an Early Check-In. Yet with most hotels you can check-in starting at 3PM, and you called to make the reservation about noon.   So at most you had probably waited an hour or two, but it was most likely only a few minutes.  How long was the "several hours" between your second call to the hotel and when you originally booked it?

As for the entire Check-In "experience". When did you actually arrive and Check-In to pay for your room?  When you called Expedia from the Hotel what EXACTLY did you tell them?

Out of curiousity, at what time did the reservation "finally" get sent from Expedia? How do you know it was the delay with Expedia? could it be that the Hotel's reservation system only pulls in remote reservations every so often.

But this last line is classic..
After sending email to cancel my account with Expedia, I can no longer access my Expedia account but I have proof and records they can not erase!
- You of course write that with the slant that this is more "proof" that they are trying to be dishonest. But people from the outside see this as "Well what did you expect?". YOU told them to cancel your account, why would you think that would not include access to the account?
