NameCheap, Inc. Suspended entire corporate websites/emails due to 'glitch.' Phoenix AZ

It is with a heavy heart that I write this review of NameCheap. I have been a customer since 2005 and I am a Master Reseller. In over 15 years I've never had a problem with these people. That is, not until about 3 weeks ago. One of my clients who purchased hosting space from me snet an email blast to his list of subscribers and at 225 emails these people shut down his abbility to send emails.

Well, OK. I talked with the customer and I spoke with NameCheap and they lifted the suspension. It seems that they allow 200 emails/hour and our customer had 225. A week or so later this same customer sent another email blast and this time NameCHeap shut down 28 of my customers BUSINESS Websites! All sites and emails were suspended with absolutely NO WARNING!!

I spent over 3 hours with support before they re-instated my accounts with the explanation that it was a 'glitch.' In the meantime, 27 businesses had no web presence, had a page on their site that said that their accounts were 'suspended', and all emails were bounced back to senders.

Totally unacceptable conduct from a web host. If a customer of mine offends your email sensibilities then suspend THAT customer and contact me. Let me try to work it out but certainly DO NOT SHUT OFF CUSTOMERS WHO HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE OFFENDING ACCOUNT!!!! However, that is exactly what these people did. They hide. They have no phone number, they have a blind address and they are foriegn based so you have very little recourse.

BEWARE. These people are self serving and couldn't care less what YOUR problems are. Do yourself a favor and find your hosting elsewhere before you lose credibility.
