Since the minute the Spectrum salesman walked through my door I have had nothing but problems.

First, they promised a DVR that was not sent. The price was more than promised. If only that were the only issues.

I had it, "professionally installed".

When they came they told me all the things they can't do. I was at work or I would've installed it myself. Had I known how incompetent these people would be, I never would've let them in the door.

First they said it was too complicated to keep a device connected to our outside antenna. They literally disconnected the coaxial cable that went to it when they did not need to. In fact they disconnected it in two places. When they disconnected the modem I had from AT&T, they did not reconnect any of the cables. In fact the only place the ethernet cables were disconnected were from the devices. It was apparently far too much for their brains to reconnect them to the new modem.

In doing this they unplugged multiple cables and wires from the back of my PC. There was no need to even touch the PC. I had video from an events I had filmed processing. A hard drive I had purchased recently was working fine until they did whatever it was they felt they had to do to my PC. If you ever have spectrum or any cable company enter your home, make sure they do not touch any of your computer equipment unless you are present.

So, my next step was to go get the DVR that I was promised that I did not receive. We first opted for the cloud DVR which has more glitches than anything I've seen on any device in 20 years. I was told by the salesman it would be much more convenient if I drove myself and picked up the DVR. My name is not the top one on the account so when we got the cloud DVR I was at it as someone who could make decisions. When I went to pick up the physical DVR after 1/2 hour drive due to an event in the area, I was told they wouldn't help me because my name was not an authorized name on the account. This was despite the fact we had spent over an hour trying to get the janky cloud DVR on our account where they insisted that I get put on as an authorized user. I was an authorized user more than 24 hours before coming into this office and being treated like a piece of garbage.

It took me several hours to get my computer up and running again after the clowns that installed our cable disconnected the HDMI cord from the back of my computer and the network cable. Whatever else they did caused a clicking in my brand-new hard drive.

I called spectrum support and they promised they would take care of the issue. They sent someone out who spent five minutes in our home and said they were going to speak to the technicians. The case was subsequently closed because after a thorough investigation of five minutes they found that the technician said they didn't do it. Not a single person with technical expertise as I've actually been to my home. The investigation was simply them trying to cover their a*s. There was no legitimate investigation whatsoever.

If you are ever in the market for new cable service, I would suggest anything but spectrum. Their cable service is not as good as the average streaming service. I was supposed to be getting two months of the cable for free and that did not happen either. I guess I just need to be stuck with their Internet and go with virtually any streaming service aside from them. Literally every other service I have ever tried has 10 times the cloud DVR with no glitches.

So in conclusion, Spectrum has terrible customer service, no technical expertise, and virtually no one working for them that is a professional. At least their product sucks.

I recieved a letter today where they claim they investigated. There was no legit investigation, just a guy who came out to cover their a*s.

So much for they didn't touch my PC. This shows the PC when I came home. The HDMI was removed along with the ethernet cable. The clowns did not disconnect the ethernet from the old router, but from my PC, along with the HDMI cable.
