Do not order from 1800 Flowers. They are a complete rip-off. First of all, they misrepresent many of their items by showing flowers completely arranged looking beautiful. They do a decent job of making you believe you are buying what is pictured on the website, however right before you finish making the order they sneak in the details that your flowers are being shipped in a box via UPS or FedEx.
What's worse is that they don't hold themselves accountable, yet advertise "Satisfaction Guaranteed". If you order something for delivery you would hope it would be delivered sometime between 8am - 5 pm. They deliver up to 7 pm with UPS or FedEx. If it happens to be later than that, it isn't their fault - you need to blame UPS or FedEx.
If you happen to call them to express your "dissatisfaction", you will be forced to argue with a foreign call center out of the Carribean or some other country that has been trained to argue with you about how you shouldn't be dissatisfied.
This company is a complete rip-off, it is not worth the money one bit. You are better off picking up an arrangement at Wal-Mart or somewhere else for half the price.
Stay away from this company, or any other floral internet company.

1-800-Flowers has worked for me, but....

I have ordered flowers from 1-800-Flowers on 5 occaisions, and have had complete satisfaction. I have used them to deliver flowers to people in other states, and I like the fact that I can very quickly browse a nice selection of arrangements with photos, to choose. It's expensive, but I'm paying for convenience.
I've also had good luck with deliveries, since 1-800-Flowers just has deliveries sent through fedex or ups, the deliverly quailty is pretty much dependent on that local branch.
However, it's almost always a better idea to order from local florists. You will be cutting out the "internet middle-man", and have someone directly to deal with.
But if you need a quick flower delivery to somewhere far away, and you want the convenience of a wide selection, 1-800-Flowers.com is not a bad last resort. Again, if you don't want to take a chance on some of the problems that may occur from an internet flower delivery service, always deal with a local florist.

I have ordered from 1-800-Flowers.com many times over the past several years, and have always had excellent results. My orders were always delivered on the day requested, and were always in beautiful condition. Rather than being less than what was advertised, they are often better.
I send flowers, plants or fruit to my mother-in-law in western NY 5-6 times a year, and have sent things to friends and family in southern CA, NH and eastern NY numerous times. I also receive many discount offers via e-mail from the company, as well as $20 rewards certificates every time I amass 200 rewards credits. At this point, I haven't paid full price for anything in over two years! Finally, I shop through UPromise, and 1-800-Flowers.com sends 10% of each order back as cash to my UPromise account for my daughter's college savings.
