24 Hour Fitness ripoff dishonest fraudulent billing Anitoch California

Joined 24 hr fitness 8/13/01 moved back to Florida Febuary 2002, Canceled my membership in April Via a fax request "Request to stop membership dues" that is a form that is put out by 24 hour fitness. I faxed it twice within a 2 week period because they said they never recieved it. Dues continued to be taken out of my account monthly.

I have called every month since April to stop the membership and each time they tell me it's cancelled a few day later the monies are deducted from my account. I asked to speak with a District manager or a regional manager I was told there was not one, the person answering the phone was RUDE and furthermore when I asked for the corporate phone number and address he told me he had no # and he did not konw where corporated headquarters were located.

I find this whole situation appualing, If I had not paid my dues and tried to use the gym they would have had to collect the money, otherwise I would not have the right to use the gym. As the consumer I have followed their procedure as far as canceling the membership but 24 hour fitness can't follow up to make sure they are doing the right thing making sure they are being fair to the consumer. They do not have the right to continue to take my money.

I would never recommend this gym to anyone, I will seek legal action if that's what it takes to get my money back.
