Purchase of Software from Evrsoft
On 3rd April 2012, I purchased software from a company called Evrsoft. This seems to be Evrsoft Pty Ltd. an Australian company. I responded to this online representation. http://www.ate.co.nz/evrsoft/evrsoftdescription.jpg That led me to 2 Check Out, a company that processes Internet sales.
I've used 2 Check Out or 2CO several times before. As far as I'm aware they are a reliable company. Note that 2CO highlight the 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. Shopping with us is 100% Safe. http://www.ate.co.nz/evrsoft/2checkout.jpg
I downloaded the software. On installing the software my Anti-virus protection advised my of a problem with the software I was installing. I sent a helpful message to Evrsoft asking if they were aware of that. No response. After I installed the software I had one or two problems in the first few days. I blamed myself, then I had more serious problems. Once again I wrote to Evrsoft. No reply.
Now I begin to look at the forum. First of all there's very little there, nothing recent, and lots of problems five or six years ago. Where was Evrsoft? Apparently missing in action even then. http://developers.evrsoft.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4620 By the 10th of April I decided that this software wasn't usable. I tried again to contact Evrsoft, looking first for support, later looking for a refund. Having failed I then turned to 2CO, for help.
I would have no complaint against 2CO if as soon as I had notified them, about the failure of their client Evrsoft to be contactable, they had started their own investigations. Having found that Evrsoft is not responsive, they should have put a block of future sales to Evrsoft immediately. But they have not. At this time late on 23rd April, it's still possible for people to purchase from Evrsoft via 2CO. I don't think the claim that they hold their suppliers to high standards holds water. Their lack of action makes 2CO a partner in Evrsoft's fraud in my view.
