the verification department for magazine subscription was told not to contact my wife at work, they did anyway.
my wife was too busy at her job to hear all of the information that they skimmed through quickly.
allied publishers says that she agreed to a billing arrangement for five years that cannot be cancelled. she never agreed to this. most likely what they heard, if she said anything that sounded like an affirmative answer was directed to a patient at her work, not to allied publishers. these are some of the reasons that she specifically requested them to NOT contact her at her work.
now, they will not let her cancel her subscription, and say that she owes $757.90 US to be paid over the next two and a half years.

#1 Consumer Suggestion
Nothing you can do but not pay
AUTHOR: Nancy - (U.S.A.)

Please see my rebuttal to a more recent post regarding this company. Basically, she did agree to what they say. Read the fine print. She had 3 days to cancel the contract. They will do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING if they are not paid and will not report her to the credit bureaus. The department of which you speak is a busted desk in a busted room in a busted building & the owner has a gagillion dollars.
