Please never ever try to buy anything from amphotoworld.com for their dishinest sales pitch. I made a purchase at www.amphotoworld.com for a Pentax digital camera Optio S5Z after did a price check through the web. Of the three vendors listed by streetprices.com amphotoworld came out on top because they offered free shipping for a limied time. I placed the order on June/15 and received by email a confirmation to that effect that my order has been reeceived and they are in the process of processing it. However, two days later I received an email from Amphtoworld stating that I need to call them to verify my account information before they can finalize my order.

As I called them, a saleman start offering a wole range of accessories to go with the camera. He tried to talked me into buying an extra recharegable battery at $69.99, SD memory card with 256 MB at $399.9 (bullshits prices),three year extended warranty at $79.99 or a five year warranty at $179.99!

I politely turned down all of his offers to purchase these overpriced accessories. I told him that I simply wanted to purchase the camera period. He then told me that in that case he has no choice but to add on $24.95 insurance charge to my order. I said to him I have never heard of insurance charge just because I refused to buy acessories. At this point I told him cancel my order. However, he told me that instead of $24.95 he would lower the charge to $9.95. I said please cancel my order. He then told me that "jhow about just $5.00 insurance charge?". I said "please please please just cancel my order!". Finally, he said if you cancel the order now, my boss may not be too happy! I said that's not my problem as your company sales tactic are so dishonest. I will never ever consider buying anything (however cheap they advertise)from amphotoworld.com

Moreover, amphotoworld's website contact us column never listed their physical address.
