American Shingle offered us a free estimate and said that they could put a new roof on our place after a storm.
An Am Shingles rep came out and looked the place over. When our claims adjuster came out to look at the place, so did one of Am. Shingles reps to work with the adjuster on the estimate.
On August 14, 2010 we were informed by the rep who came out to our place for the estimate, that American Shingle went bankrupt but would be open for business on August 16, 2010. This individual came over and suddenly had a new rep job with a new roofing company! He wanted us to go with the new company he's with but he also wanted to know how much our claim check was for! I smell scam.
We found out that American Shingle has a rating of "F" from the BBB. We also found several negative reports about htis company on this web site.
