This company houses more thieves than anyone I have ever done business with in the past. After months of attempting an unsuccessful refund of merchandise (I have since given up), I decided to do some research on this company.
You may notice that there is very little information as to who you may contact on their website. I found this to be disturbing. After all, why would any company remain so secretive about who works for them? You may call a generic "customer service representative", yet nobody seems to be in charge.
I would like to announce the findings of my several month inquest into this operation.
The top "brass" of this company as far as I have been able to find out are three or four different people. I have not yet been able to figure out what their actual titles are but I guarantee that these are the top decision makers in the company.
Two of them are men named Raj and Sashi. These men seem to be the primary business "brain trust" of America's Value Channel. Another is Marvin, one of the doltish and overly verbose hosts of this circus. There may be more, but as of yet can not identify any others.
The first two that are mentioned are a little slippery to pin down and will absolve themselves of any responsibility (of course). Marvin however can be linked to a number of shady on air dealings.
I have noticed on numerous occasions (especially when Marvin is selling tanzanites) that the lighting will undergo dramatic changes when the camera comes back from the "ring wheel" or whatever garbage they are selling that night. Its as if half the studio lights get shut down and this guy is trying to tell you that he his selling "Super Dark AAAA" stones. Garbage! Then he goes to sell tourmaline, and the lighting gets so bright its like looking at the sun.
As far as I can tell when the show host does not tell you that the lighting is being altered, he is defrauding the audience! I'm sorry, but if you buy one of these "super dark" tanzanites and you haven't been paying attention to that maybe you deserve what you get. Pay attention!
Auctions are a bit shady here as well. Ever notice how many "credit card problems" they seem to have with their actions? Pay attention to this as well. One of two things seem to be happening. Either they are telling you that they are selling you a "unique" item, and then SURPRISE! There's another one! But how did it get there? Thought it was your only one? "Well, there was a credit card problem." Hmm, seems to happen nightly. Other times auctions seem to be manipulated or completely fabricated. This is speculation as I can not prove this. However if you just pay attention to how they present their merchandise, you may come to the same suspicion.
Don't even get me going on Rod, although he seems to have inexplicably calmed down and developed some sort of lapse into manners recently. Seems like some miracles are possible.
I hope this helps someone. Next time somebody calls this place, ask for one of those clowns Raj, Sashi, or Marvin I mentioned. It will be interesting to see how they try and weasel their way out of responsibility.
Good luck!
