Assurance Wireless Not the company I would recommend Internet

First of all, some of you people need to get off your high horse and get hobbies other than putting in your two cents about why other people are on what government program or pointing out spelling and grammar errors on reviews. You look bored and pathetic. Grow up. On to my review, since that's what this site is for... I have Assurance Wireless and have had several problems ranging from technical issues to poor customer service problems. The last few months I had noticed that I'd always run out of minutes quite quickly. I knew I wasn't using that many, so I started a little investigation. I discovered that they were charging SECONDS as minutes. When I called customer service, their system showed a completely different balance of available minutes than both my account info online and my handset. After 20 minutes on hold the agent, who barely spoke English, came back on the line with a new number that correlated with what my handset said. When I told her that my month just started, there's no way I used almost all my minutes she argued with me. I filed a complaint upon which they said they'd investigate and respond asap. Never heard a word. When my new month started I kept a post it on my phone in order to track EVERY second used. Once again, it didn't correlate with their system. I have yet to hear back from anyone from Assurance Wireless on this matter. The program is not "free". It costs tax payer (yes, we all pay taxes in one way or another) money and these companies get tax breaks and other incentives for offering it. Therefore, instead of degrading people who need and use it, and arguing with their review/opinions maybe you should be more upset at the companies that aren't upholding the program how they should. Get a hobby and let God do the judging.
