Bookit.com Bait and Switch travel company Panama City Beach, Florida

     Today I purchased a trip from Honolulu to Maui for two days next week.  There was a standard flight offered with the trip that was in the afternoon.  I have an appointment on Maui around noon and can't take a later flight, so I chose a flight that would cost additional money.  When the booking was submitted, an error came on the screen and I was instructed to call an 888 number because there was an issue with the reservation.  When I called, I was informed that there were no earlier flights available.  That they could go ahead and get me on the later flight.  There were several additional flights offered that the company did not have.   I then told them to cancel the trip and that I would find a package elsewhere with a flight that would work.  I was then told that they did not put the sale through and would waive the cancellation fee.
     When I checked my bank statement, they did in fact put the sale through.  They sold me something they did not have, and then tried to substitute something that was of less value.  The later flight had no surcharge on the website.  They did not even offer to refund the surcharge for the earlier flight when they were trying to get me to accept the later flight.
      I then called back again and was told that they would void the trip.  I was also informed it could take up to 10 days to get the money back into my account.
