Bre Properties Discriminating , over charging, hard to contact anyone San Francisco Office/ Los Angeles Windsor Courts California

First of all Bre Properties advertise Windsor Courts as a luxury apartment. I see no luxury here at all. The security is lazy, there are derelicts that are free to come in and out of the so called security gate as they please. Worst of all there are roaches. They are charging me $1295 for a one bedroom this is including an extra parking space. I'm paying sky high rent for a box with roaches.

I tried contacting management several times about the roaches, they supposedly sent an exterminator who only sprayed hot shot around the apartment. This didn't work so I approached management again , management tried to insinuate that because of my ethnicity I had roaches. I was extremely upset. I have proof that the roaches were here before I ever moved in. There is a " time to replace" combat sticker on the inside of the kitchen cabinet dated 6-14-1991. I moved in this place late 2005!

I'm a tenant who works hard, and pays on time just to be discriminated against. I finally had to come out of my pocket and pay for some roach motels, bombs and spray. I was even approached by a new tenant who asked me if it was just her having problems with roaches and I advised her no. So this was obviously a problem with not only me but other tenants as well.

The laundry room is also a rip off. They charge $1.50 for washing and $1.25 to dry, the machine to load your laundry card will not except anything less than $5.00 , this on top of the extremely high rent I have to pay. I guess luxury to Bre means overcharging. The machines are always broke and the Laundry room is rarely clean. When trying to contact management it is hard to get in touch with anyone and when ever I need maintenance they take their time or sometimes they never show up. I contacted maintenance back in 2006 regarding a broken door knob, and about our air conditioner dripping water in the bathroom. It is now 2009.

I asked maintenance about having my carpet taken out and having hardwood floors put in like they are doing for the other tenants. The maintenance man said that they will put in hardwood floors I would just need to speak with management, when I asked the manager about having hardwood floors he became defensive and rude and told me I had to renew my lease in order to get hardwood floors. I later found out this was a free program but they are using it to tie people into renewing their lease.

Now that they are desperate for more money they have cut their rent down. They now have a special where one bedrooms are $925.00. After being a faithful tenant for 4 years I still have to pay $1295.00 for a place that is not worth it. It's hard saving money to move to a decent place when half my earnings go toward paying Bre properties. I feel Bre is unfair and are overcharging for less than luxury apartments.
