We bought a Brother MFC-420 CN Multi function printer. 1 month after installation all Network connections disappeared from both computers. We have had to install at least a dozen times and after 1 year still have issues with printer information disappearing. Brother will not honor warranty for this issue. The installation programs freeze up or don't install at all. They are bundled with other software that makes the installation with windows XP nearly impossible. We tried to return to Staples and they refused to accept return.

6 months after installation it will not send faxes with standard resolution, photo only, no matter what setting it is on.

12 year later it is showing a constant paper jam and no paper is jammed. There is no way to shut the machine down and no way to reset. It is stuck in virtual paper jam.

This is the most inferior product I have every purchased and Brother will not honor warranty and Staples will not honor sale return.
