Capital One Credit Cards 53% increase in interest rate Salt Lake City Utah

I've had a Capital One card for approximately 8 years now. The interest rate has always been reasonable but in June my rate went from 14.9% to 22.9%. No late payments, nothing I did caused this increase. That's over a 50% increase in the rate.

I did call to talk about the issue but, of course, they could care less about how loyal you've been as a customer. They're only interested in making their money even if it means the responsible, employed cardholders cover the cost of those that are either unwilling or unable to pay.

In this case I am transferring the balance to another card with a lower rate. Totally counterproductive in my case. Now instead of making 14.9% on balance they're making nothing.

If you haven't paid attention to what Capital One has done with interest on their cards I'd highly recommend checking and transferring your balance somewhere else.
