I purchased a loan agreement with carmax auto finance in 2008
First of all the lady home sold me the car ran my credit 7 times as i wanted to know the variations of payments and times also different vehichles
this i disscovered a year later to my surprise when i went to purchase a house and my credit was bad due to so many hits
Obviously carmax employ anyone at anytime with no prior sales knowledge
This i overloocked and continued on my merry way until 2012 when i had difficulties in keeping my payments current due to the economic crisis of the country
Not only did carmax change the rules as how to and how you are allowed to pay without notifiying all their current and on going customers i was told i could only pay by credit card over the phone when i was 30 days past due
Wow what a crazy way to do bussines or is it just a ploy to let the customer get into more debt charge late fees and or towing charges and all the other that goes with it
To cut a long story short my car was repossed after trying to make my payments speaking with customer services agreeing terms and then bang my car was gone
Then starts more fun
Not only do you have a towing company from carmax or should i say employed by carmax they then ship it out to some local low life towing company whom have no customer service skills whatso ever they then take your perssonel belongings out of your vehicle tresspass on your property with out permiission ie. locked gates with no tresspasing signs clearly visable to get your car back costs approximatley $2000.00 or more including your time tracking the car to find where and whom has it then dealing with people whome have no education and the language of choice is not printable
My point being is why would anyone collecting loan payments make it so difficult to PAY!
I have my own company and trust me if someone cakled me and agreed to pay i would give them every option available
I think most likely that this is a huge money making scam for carmax auto finnacing
IF YOU PURCHASE FROM CARMAX AUTO FINANCE BEWARE
From one very dissapointed customer never to be again

"This i overloocked and continued on my merry way until 2012 when i had difficulties in keeping my payments current due to the economic crisis of the country"
Exactly what part of this country's economic crisis cause YOU to default on your agreed to payments?
How is it a scam for them to insist deadbeats pay in a manner more likely to be valid so they'll get their money which YOU owe them?
When you're late, you get a late charge NO MATTER what the payment method.
You're a serial deadbeat or you wouldn't have financing with them in the first place.
To solve all these "little problems" pay you payment on time, EVERY time and stop blaming the U.S. economy.
NO Ripoff here.
Nope, I DON'T work for them.

You seek to paint them in a bad light, but all they have done IS legal. A "No Trespass" sign holds NO POWER when it comes to collecting THEIR property. And make no mistake, until the vehicle is paid off, it is STILL their property. By law they have the right to ignore that sign in the furtherance of collecting what is LEGALLY theirs. All I see is someone who couldn't pay their bill and got the vehicle repossessed and NOW deflects responsibility off of themselves in order to attempt to play a better victim. YOU are the SOLE cause of your own situation. YOU DID NOT PAY YOUR BILL!!!! You don't pay, vehicle gets repossessed per the terms of the agreement that YOU signed. Now how exactly does this make them the bad guys?? Oh that's right...IT DOESNT!!!! This is ALL on you. The sooner you realize AND accept that YOUR lack of paying your bills has caused this, the sooner you can move past it. You claim to run your own business but FAIL to acknowledge that what they are doing IS LEGAL. How long do you expect them to wait for THEIR money?? If they repoed you then you were MORE then just a month behind. Repos happen at the 3 month mark. So you were far enough behind that they had NO FAITH in YOU or YOUR ability to pay your bills. Heres a thought, maybe accept YOUR role in all of this and grow up and act like an adult for once. You are attempting to play the victim but it falls short of the mark. ANYONE with more then two braincells to rub together can see that you just didn't pay your bill and are now mad about it. Get over it and move on because YOU DID THIS TO YOURSELF!!!! I know it makes you feel better to rant online, but its kinda unfair of you to blast them for YOUR PROBLEM. I know you are mad about not having a car, but that's YOUR fault. Im 100% sure that if you stopped acting like a child and applied some logic to the situation, you would truly see your part. I have hope for you that you will be able to move past this. I can tell just from your post that YOU KNEW you were very late on payments and that YOUR entire post is just your way of crying online because YOU feel that they were wrong for going onto your property to take back the vehicle. You even admit that you didn't pay, so when we go through your post it is very clear that the ONLY reason you have made this post painting them in such a negative light is BECAUSE you feel your personal space was violated. While its not very nice to lose a car to repo, it is their right to go on your property to retrieve THEIR property.

First of all the lady home sold me the car ran my credit 7 times as i wanted to know the variations of payments and times also different vehichles
- Okay, your credit doesn't get run multiple times to figure out multiple payment options. However, it can get run multiple times if you want to get an idea from different banks as to the rates they would charge. The other posibility(probability) is that you were denied by the first 6 banks and that is why you ended up with their In-House financing.
i disscovered a year later to my surprise when i went to purchase a house and my credit was bad due to so many hits
- Inquiries are a very..very small part of your credit report, for example with FICO they are only about 10% of your total score. In addition any "damage" is very short lived, the biggest damage is within the first 6 months and after a year they are basically ignored. Also, the credit scoring systems are aware of people "rate shopping", so they treat any inquiry over about a 14 day period for auto loans as a SINGLE inquiry. So what does all of this come down to..if you were denied for a house it was NOT because of the inquiries. It was either other items on your credit or your income situation(or a combination of both).
Wow what a crazy way to do bussines or is it just a ploy to let the customer get into more debt charge late fees and or towing charges and all the other that goes with it
- You do know that your bank's Debit card works as a Credit Card as well..right? If you really had the money to pay it off, this would not have been in issue.
To cut a long story short my car was repossed after trying to make my payments speaking with customer services agreeing terms and then bang my car was gone
- Wow...you are late by at least 30 days..and "bang" just like that your car is gone..Who would have thought...
locked gates with no tresspasing signs clearly visable to get your car back costs approximatley $2000.00 or more including your time tracking the car to find where and whom has it then dealing with people whome
have no education and the language of choice is not printable
- And exactly what makes up that $2000? There is your late car payments(probably at least 2 months). There is the Reposession fee in which $200-$500 is pretty standard. You have storage fees that are going to be added in based on how long it takes you to pay. You then also have additional Interest and late fees. Yea it adds up fast doesn't it.
From one very dissapointed customer never to be again
- You are probably right about that. Because with a Reposession on your credit you will probably only be able to get financed by Buy Here/Pay Here financing. Where if you think Carmax was tough on late payments, wait until you get to have a GPS device installed in your car where if you are late by even a day they disable the car and reposess it within a week.
