city furniture Terrible and unprofessional delivery Miami Florida

We picked up a leather recliner sofa and love seat and had it scheduled for delivery on Thursday (20th of Feb, 2014). They also had to take back a sofa set that we were returning. The delivery was scheduled for 12-2 pm and we had the elevator reservation done for that time at our condominium. Since it was the middle of the workday, we had spoken to the driver of the delivery in the morning at 8 am asking him to let us know 30 mins in advance so that we can be at our residence on time. The first issue is that he did not call and called 10 mins prior to reaching our place.

It was good that my husband decided to leave when a little ahead of time and was at the residence by the time they arrived. They were running behind their schedule and seemed to be in a rush to get the job done. But that is not an excuse to create the kind of mess they did. There was styrofoam strewn all over the service elevator, corridors and inside the apartment. It was a complete mess. We had to spend 2 hours in cleaning inside the apartment. The condo association at our building also called to say that they will fine us for the mess that was created.

And this was not our fault! It is unbelievable that we pay for the delivery and then we have to waste our time in cleaning after them as well as pay the condo for the mess they created! I called the customer service today and they first said that it could not be refunded and then they decided to refund us the amount that the condo association would fine us. But that is not enough....we spent our whole evening and night cleaning up the apartment on a working day and demand to get compensated for the inconvenience caused. This is completely unprofessional behavior!
