Cohen's Fashion Optical Unbelievably Poor Service Elizabeth New Jersey

I have spent well over $1,000 at the Cohen's Fashion Optical Store at Jersey Gardens over the last several year in eyeglasses, contact lenses, medical exams, etc.

When I attempted to get a copy of my most recent prescription I was rudely told, "That Doctor left and took all their records". I was incredulous, thinking that the store bore some responsibility to maintain the records of it's customers. But I was told, "No, that doctor is separate...that's not my problem".

When I complained..."Gee, one might think that if the sign outside says, Cohen Fashion Optical, and I get the eye exam in your store, that you bear some responsibility for maintaining the records of those customers?" the clerk merely ignored me and walked down to the end of the counter to talk to her boyfriend.

On the way out, I heard her say, under her breath, "Jerk!". I guess she didn't realize that my ears work fine, it is only my vision where I have a problem.

This policy seems extremely disreputable to me. What it means is that you could have an eye exam today, and go back tomorrow and they would tell you, "sorry, that doctor isn't here anymore".

This is a great reason to go to a reputable, local optomitrist instead of some mall-based chain that drops their customers on a whim and calls them jerks when their personnel change.
